I can't think of one. Is that bad? I mean of course I have received many compliments over the years, but the nicest one ever? Hmmm... Today a colleague told me that he was talking with his students and they "voted" me most honorable and fairest teacher. That one was pretty good :) Also, Dad signed my Mother's Day card, and he wrote on it - in his fabulous, strong, emphatic handwriting - "You're a great mother." That certainly is a contender. So I'll choose to reflect on two of the most recent and nicest compliments I have received. And I'll send you one - this blog is fantastic!
thanks, amy!! you are a great mother, by the way. i think the vote by the students dovetails nicely with your dad's compliment. what they said is, in large part, the reason his comment is true.
the nicest compliment i ever received was from somebody i cared a great deal for, and who cared for me. alas, it was not to be, but what he said has yet to be topped. he said "heather, you are the bee's knees."
